From top to bottom, the flags are for gore, candy, hanahaki, menhera, and pastel gore.

Gurogender is an aesthetigender defined as:

  • "closely relating gender to guro/gore type cultures/fashions." (2014 definition) [1]
  • "A gender based in gore and gore subcultures, such as menhera, hanahaki, candy gore, and pastel gore." (2018 definition) [2]

History of the term

Gurogender was first coined on or before November 28th, 2014 by nooklicker on tumblr via MOGAI-Archive.3 The definition was updated on February 20, 2018 by MOGAI archive and coining blog Uncommongenders. The flags were created at the same time by Uncommongenders mod Kyle.4
