There are no meanings for individual stripe colours. Rather the colours were chosen to represent negativity, a sedentary state of being, mellowness. The colours were chosen to be overlooked and not really acknowledge that they exist, just like your gender would be if one were feeling G-

History of the term

Gendernegative was coined on June 24, 2014 (and the first flag created) in a satirical post by tumblr user allofyouguysarefuckingannoying. The terms were "reclaimed" by tumblr user askanonbinary on the same date .2 The second flag was created on or before August 28, 2015 by Pastelmemer and posted to Pride-Flags on Deviantart on that day.3
