Carmigender is an Audiogender defined as "a gender which is poetic and rhythmic in nature, but not musical"1

History of the term

Carmigender was coined before September 4, 2015 by unknown.2 The flag was created on that date by Pride-Flags on deviantart.3

My gender is a sonnet, that’s for sure,
although it is a common form, I own,
I know those with rhyme schemes more obscure:
my tumblr SO’s gender? A canzone.

My gender makes the truscum weep with rage,
and brandish empty words to silence me,
but my gender flows like verse upon the page,
and salty tears do give me energy.

So haters, come at me with sharpened wit,
throw at me your insults and your jeers,
I’m above each human piece of shit
who wets my tumblr inbox with their tears.

And pray, remind me not in several years
The bollocks that I am now posting here.
