Flag color meanings: Colors traditionally associated with friendship, and the green represents lack of romance needed/wanted for sexual attraction.

Amicussexual (/-romantic/-platonic/-aesthetic/-queerplatonic/-sensual/-alterous) is a miscellaneous MOGAI sexuality defined as " subset of demi- where one only develops a type of attraction to those they are friends with.
The difference between Amicus- and Demi-
“Amicus- is specifically for platonic relationships/friendships. Demi- applies to any sort of bond or long-term interaction. [the coiner has] heard of demi- people start experiencing attraction just by being in someone’s presence repeatedly for extended periods of time, like a classmate or workmate situation, or have a relationship with someone because they anticipate the attraction coming and they don’t mind non-attracted interactions (like a cupio- type situation)."1

History of the term

Amicussexual was coined on or before August 23, 2015 by tumblr user pastelmemer. The flag was created by pastelmemer and posted on that that date by Pride-Flags on Deviantart.2

I love you like my own father
but don’t let that turn you off–
last time I saw dad, I was handcuffed
and rp-ing Lara Croft.
But it’s the open-ended “other”
that makes me jump for joy–
all this time, I thought it was wrong
to be attracted to clown toys.
